Sport Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Sunderland – Start February 2025

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Sport Graduate to join one of our client schools in Sunderland as a Learning Support Assistant.

• This position will start in February 2025 and is a full-time role.
• The pay for this position is between £450 and £500 per week.

This role is highly important and comes with a great deal of responsibility. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have additional educational needs. You must have a strong awareness of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and understand how these can impact a child’s behaviour. You will support small groups of students with their additional learning requirements.

Requirements:

• You must be a recent graduate from a sports-based course and looking to start a career in education.
• Willingness to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and provide at least two employment references.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students with their Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
• Building strong relationships with students to aid their development.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to students, teachers, and parents.
• Ensuring awareness of safeguarding procedures and addressing any situations that may arise.
