Sport Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Sunderland – Start February 2025
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Sport Graduate to join one of our client schools in Sunderland as a Learning Support Assistant.

- This position will start in February 2025 and is a full-time role.
- The pay for this position is between £450 and £500 per week.
This role is highly important and comes with a great deal of responsibility. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have additional educational needs. You must have a strong awareness of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and understand how these can impact a child’s behaviour. You will support small groups of students with their additional learning requirements.
Requirements:
- You must be a recent graduate from a sports-based course and looking to start a career in education.
- Willingness to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and provide at least two employment references.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with their Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
- Building strong relationships with students to aid their development.
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to students, teachers, and parents.
- Ensuring awareness of safeguarding procedures and addressing any situations that may arise.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
