Sports Coach
Location: Walsall and surrounding areas
Start Date: ASAP (following vetting process)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Salary: £88 - £100 per day

A driving licence is ideal for this role but not essential.

Are you passionate about inspiring young people through sport and physical activity? Teaching Personnel are currently seeking energetic and enthusiastic Sports Coaches to support SEND schools across Walsall and the surrounding areas.

About the Role:
You’ll play a vital role in delivering engaging physical education sessions, supporting classroom learning through sport, and promoting physical wellbeing among students. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in education or youth development, with opportunities to progress into teaching or specialist support roles.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A confident, motivating, and positive approach to working with children

  • Experience coaching or leading sports activities with young people (school, club, or community setting)

  • A genuine passion for physical education, sport, and student wellbeing

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • A valid Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • Coaching qualifications or relevant sport-related degree

  • Previous school-based experience or experience working with children with SEND

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
