Are you a sports coach with experience of working with children and young adults?
Are you looking to gain experience of working within a school setting, particularly an SEN school?
Teaching Personnel are looking for sports coaches who have experience of working with children, or young adults, for work within local SEN schools. Our client school in Blackburn are seeking a candidate to support the needs of their students with SEMH and associated learning / behavioural difficulties. The school have advised that from past experience, candidates who come from a sports coaching background are energetic and have the ability to build a rapport quickly. They also noted that sports coaches have the ability to get young people engaged and excited about a task quickly, through creative and inventive methods. Sound like you? The roles we can offer will be suitable if you:
- Have a sports background in training and/or coaching
- Have a confident and friendly personality
- Can remain calm under stressful situations
- Have experience of working with young people
- Have experience of teaching sports to young people with SEMH / ASC
Pay rates depend on your previous experience but in general vary from GBP60 - GBP65 per day
I must stress, you will not necessarily be teaching sport you will be using your coaching skills to build rapport and develop relationships with these students, whilst engaging them in the curriculum.
As I'm sure you can understand, the start date may not be immediate, due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, however the school has asked us to seek suitable candidates, ready for when they re-open.
