Sports Coaches

Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with several schools across Wigan to source the support of people with a sports coaching background to work as Cover Supervisors on a flexible basis. This is in both PE lessons and across other subject areas.

The role of a Cover Supervisor within a secondary school is a varied one which involves both leading full classes and supporting in others. When you are leading full classes, your primary duty is to deliver pre-set work and make sure that the pupils remain on task through effective behaviour management e.g. overcoming any barriers or apathy to learning through being able to build rapport with pupils effectively.

Being a Cover Supervisor is very rewarding job role where you will have a great introduction to a number of schools in the area, leaving you in good stead for future positions that may arise. It is also the perfect preparation for any aspiring teachers as the experience gained can be used to support a PGCE application.

Teaching Personnel are the preferred choice of agency for many of the schools across Wigan meaning that there will be a variety of schools you will be able to work at. Further, many that we work with are easily accessible on public transport also.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
