We’re looking for a passionate and driven Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team. This is more than just a coaching role — it’s a chance to become a mentor and role model for children who need it most. There are a few vacancies open for the right candidates across Manchester.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead fun, inclusive PE lessons and sports activities across the school.
- Support classroom learning as a Teaching Assistant, helping pupils reach their full potential.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to boost confidence, resilience, and wellbeing.
- Run lunchtime and after-school clubs that promote teamwork, discipline, and self-belief.
- Work closely with staff to identify and support pupils who need extra encouragement.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children in a school, coaching, or youth work setting.
- A recognised sports coaching qualification (e.g., Level 2 or above).Desired but not necessary
- A genuine passion for helping children grow — physically, emotionally, and socially.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Bonus Points For:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or mentor.
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
