Speech & Language specialist position available in Kensington & Chelsea, immediate start.

A "good" Ofsted rated school located in the Borough of Kensington & Chelsea is looking to recruit 2 speech and language specialists to support 2 different children in the school. The school is close to Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road tube stations which makes the commute to the school very easy from the rest of London. The roles will start straight away once the schools receive confirmation of funding as both children will be on the EHC plan.

The children don’t have any behavioural issues and are mainly struggling with pronunciation and they are also having difficulties understanding the teacher. The school believe that with the correct support they will be able to overcome their difficulties and have a successful future in Education.

The successful candidates will have:

Speech, Language and Communication Needs Qualification

Experience of doing Intervention work with children with Speech and Language difficulties

Qualifications such as PECs and Makaton are welcome

A positive attitude and a patient personality

Experience of working with Autism is desirable as you will sometimes help some of the Autistic child within the school
