Speech and Language Tutor - Islington

Teaching Personnel work closely with an 'Outstanding' Primary school in Islington, who are looking for someone with Speech & Language tutoring experience; to deliver SLT intervention lessons across the school. The role involves extensive training and support with the school's SENCO, but also enable you to implement your own research, objectives and program for the children who have been highlighted for additional focus on their Speech & Language skills.

The role of a Speech and Language Learning Support Assistant will mean that you will use your experience and expertise to offer support and guidance to SEN pupils. This will involve working on a one to one basis with various pupils who demonstrate communication difficulties, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with a Speech and Language therapist and Behaviour Mentor as well.

As an English or Psychology Graduate, achieving a 2:1 or above in your degree, you will be able to demonstrate longevity and commitment to both the school and your pupils as the children will need stability throughout their learning and development. The successful candidate will have the motivation to go above and beyond for the pupils and their needs and would ideally like to gain experience within Speech and Language/With SEN children in a Primary School setting.
