An Ofsted 'OUTSTANDING' SEN school in Didsbury are looking for a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to support within their school. There are multiple positions currently being recruited for including long term and short term positions.
This school are a 98 place school that support pupils with complex medical, communication and physical needs. The school caters for pupils aged 4 - 16 throughout 10 mixed ability classes. Pupil's communication needs result in alternative methods of communication being used around school, such as iPads, PECs, Brail and BSL. Promoting independence is a main focus within this 'Outstanding' school therefore staff that share this passion is essential.
The Teaching Assistant would need to be flexible to working across all age ranges and with different abilities.
It would be highly desirable for the Teaching Assistant to have experience of;
- Moving and Handling Training
- PEG Feeding
- Tracheostomy Training
- Personal Care
- School based experience is also highly desirable
These positions would be looking to start after the Easter Holidays or earlier for the right person. This position would look to continue on a rolling basis, some with a high potential of becoming permanent. To be considered for this role, please contact Georgia at or at 0161 242 1798

- A small number of pupils within this school also use BSL as a predominant method of communication, BSL training is highly desirable.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
