2️⃣ Specialist Teaching Assistant – Autism Support (Leeds LS10)

£90–£105/day | Full-Time | Long-Term

We are looking for a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to work within an inclusive autism provision in South Leeds.

Role Overview:

• Support pupils with ASC, ADHD, and communication needs.

• Use visual aids, PECS, and Makaton to promote understanding.

• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions.

• Collaborate with therapy teams and class teachers to personalise support.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience with autism (in schools or care).

• Training in Makaton, PECS, or communication support preferred.

• Child & Adult DBS on Update Service.

• Positive, calm, and proactive approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
