About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a thriving SEN school in Peckham. This role involves supporting children with a range of complex needs, including autism (ASD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.

• Assist with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs (where required).

• Support classroom management and behaviour regulation.

• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement EHCPs.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience supporting SEN children (in school or care settings).

• Knowledge of autism, PMLD, or SEMH strategies (desirable).

• Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.

• Team Teach/Moving & Handling training (advantageous but not essential).

• A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
