Specialist One to One Support Worker

Teaching Personnel are looking for a one to one support worker to work in one of our people referral units based in the Centre of Bristol. This people referral unit provides an alternative education to help vulnerable young people with challenging behaviours to realise their full potential.

You will support pupils who have experienced difficulties in mainstream schools and whose education has irretrievably broken down, you will be required to support the students to achieve academic and vocational targets and progress into education, training and employment.

This role will be suitable for you, if you are looking to start or pursue a career as a one to one support worker, working with young people who have challenging behaviour. A usual day would include academic studies in the morning and vocational studies in the afternoon for example; Trip to a farm for activities including team building activities.

This role is full time with hours; 8.30 am - 4.30 pm
£60 - £70 per day!
With an immediate start date!

The Successful Candidate:

  • Candidates must have GCSE qualifications grade C and above or equivalent
  • A child workforce DBS on the update service, we can help you through the process if we you do not have this already.
  • A clean UK driving license with a access to a vehicle 5 days a week
  • Be enthusiastic and engaging to the pupil that you'll be mentoring
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and acts as a positive role model
  • Takes a personal interest in the mentoring relationship
