Specialised Cover Supervisor/Teacher (Temp to Perm)

Location: Daventry

Start: June 2025

Role Overview: We are seeking a specialised Cover Supervisor/Teacher to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting students with challenging behaviour, ensuring they receive the guidance and support they need to thrive. The position is initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent based on performance and fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support: Manage classroom activities and provide support to students during lessons.
  • Behaviour management: Implement strategies to manage and improve student behaviour.
  • Individual support: Work closely with students who require additional assistance, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Monitoring progress: Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Resilience: Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Passion: A genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with challenging behaviour in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust methods and approaches based on individual student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
