I am currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for an SEN school in NWKent. This is an ambitious school for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe and complex needs, many of whom have a diagnosis of autism. The school invests in employing the best staff and in training them to achieve; as such the school strives to engage staff who are self-motivated, professional and ambitious.
The school are looking for exceptional people to join their team who are able to demonstrate belief in the school culture and ethos; have a passion for working with children and young people with special needs as well as creativity and energy.
Ideal candidates will be/have:
- Professional and caring individual
- Have a good understanding about safeguarding and working with vulnerable children
- Flexible, adaptable and be able to use own initiative
- Must be comfortable with personal care (toileting)
- Moving and Handling (incl. Hoists) beneficial but not essential
- Experience working within SEN or working with children is beneficial but not essential (all applications welcome)
As the range of pupil's ages and SEN requirements vary, I am looking for flexible team members who are confident to work across all aspects of SEN and all key stages.
Position details:
- Full-Time Role 08:50am - 15:30pm (For Part-Time and Supply please see below)
- SEN Teaching Assistant (long-term contract)
- Ages 2 - 19
- SEN - Profound and multiple learning difficulties
- Daily rate from £57 - 70 (depending on experience)
- Opportunity to apply for a permanent contract

All Candidates Must:
- Be able to commit to working the hours specified above
- Provide a child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (£44) and then subscribe to the update service (£13)
- Have no recent criminal convictions/cautions.
- Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and/or valid passport.
- If you have been a resident for less than 5 years in the UK a right to work visa (non-EU) and a criminal background check from any country resided in for 6 months or more with in the past 5 years must be provided.
