SEN Teaching Assistant required for an immediate start at a 'Good' primary school in Harrogate.

Your new company
Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a small, Ofsted rated 'Good' primary school in Located in Harrogate. They are keen to recruit a Teaching Assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs to start immediately until the end of the academic year. Through the outstanding support and collaboration with the wider community, the school provides a welcoming and inspiring learning environment in which pupils are encouraged to reach their full potential.

Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to support children within Key Stage 1 with additional needs on a 1:1 basis or as a group, in order to raise achievement. Pupils may have a range of SEN including Autism, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). You will work closely with class teachers, assisting with lessons and activities, mainly supporting children with SEN.

What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of six months experience supporting young people
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs
- Knowledge across the Primary curriculum
- A passion for helping children to achieve their full potential
- The ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff, parents and pupils
- Awareness of confidentiality and child protection/safeguarding.
