We are currently recruiting for an incredible special education focused school based in the New Southgate area. They work with children between the ages of 3-19 with difficulties with communication and sensory processing, severe learning difficulties, Autism, PMLD and SEMH. They aim to create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all their pupils in order to maximise their learning and social and emotional growth potential. Be a part of this environment; help to contribute to the development of a child with special educational needs.
The role:
-You will be working with children with complex needs who may require personal care at times so willingness to do this is necessary.
-Working with children with speech and language difficulties, candidates with experience with PECS/Makaton are highly desirable for this role but this is not a necessity.
-Working as a teaching assistant alongside a teacher and support staff to provide care to children with special education needs.
The candidate:
-Must have right to work in the UK
-All candidates must have a current child only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
-Must have experience working with individuals with special education needs. Personal experience/non- school based experience will be considered.
-Be comfortable with personal care
Day rates- GBP60-75
