SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Brighton and Surrounding areas.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Duration: Immediate start - On-going cover

The schools we are working with are looking for Teaching Assistants or those with mental health support experience that are:

• Open to working in schools with young people aged between 5-18 who have been unable to learn in mainstream schools for a range of reasons such as mental health, special need diagnosis, being in care, being at risk of or being abused.

• Dedicated and consistent as building and maintaining positive relationships is vital.

• Passionate about working with children.

• Willingness to learn from highly experienced schools.

Essential criteria:

• Flexible availability

• Local to Brighton

• Teaching Assistant, Youth work or school support background

• Experience working with children/young people with mental health, special needs or in education Desirable criteria: Mental health awareness training, Special Needs experience, Team Teach or positive handling training, MIDAS trained to drive school minibus

- Candidates with access to own transport are desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
