Special Needs Support Assistant - Cardiff

We are currently recruiting for experienced teaching assistants to work in various SEN schools based in the Cardiff. These roles are day to day supply posts, but can quickly lead to long term positions filling up your academic year.

With a range of disabilities within the schools such as Autism, Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, you will be required to have a flexible approach and have the ability to work with all ages from 3 to 19 years old. You may be required to work either one to one with pupils or to support the class as a whole.

We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, motivated, positive, professional, able to use their own initiative and able to think quickly in challenging situations. As each day can be different, an adaptable and flexible approached is essential. Supply work is fast becoming the best way to gain long term or permanent positions as the schools can see your skills and attributes first hand.

You would be required to gain registration with the Education Workforce Council and a valid Child Workforce only DBS. You must be passionate about working with children who have additional learning needs. Be able to use your own initiative as well as work well as a part of a team.
