Job Vacancy: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: NN4 Area
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the NN4 area. In this role, you will provide vital support to pupils with additional needs, working closely with teachers and specialists to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including learning, emotional, and physical challenges

  • Delivering tailored interventions and supporting individual learning plans

  • Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive social interactions

  • Helping pupils develop independence and confidence in the classroom

  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to monitor progress

  • Supporting classroom activities and adapting resources as needed

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred but not essential)

  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and equality

  • Good organisational skills and reliability

  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
