Temporary to permanent role
Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants required for an outstanding school in Cambridge.
Have you always wanted to work in education? Are you passionate about working with and supporting children to achieve their full potential? Are you looking for a rewarding career?
If you have answered yes then this is the role for you!
Previous experience as a teaching assistant not required, just an interest and passion for working with children. If you have experience working with children or adults in a care or educational setting or personal experience of special education needs please do get in touch.
We require a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a local (SEN) Special Educational Needs School. The school provides outstanding education and support for pupils aged 2 -19 years old with a range of complex additional needs. Pupils have mixed abilities and classes are dependent on these. The work can vary from care based to sensory support, helping children to engage in learning and providing them with the full opportunity to reach their potential.
The school day includes activities outside the class room so an interest in the outdoors is advantageous!
We offer Team Teach training to support the role and the school offers further training and career opportunities.
