Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school in the Bitterne/Thornhill area. The school cater for primary aged pupils from 4 to 11 years old with an EHCP with a variety of complex learning difficulties such as:

• Severe Learning Difficulites
• Autism
• Speech and Language disorders
• Challenging behaviour

We have a relationship with the school where we help with sickness cover, course cover, long term sickness cover and other absences however the majority of the roles we assist with are their permanent vacancies. The school has an upper and lower school on the same site but they do have some satelite classes in some mainstream primary schools as well. The candidates for the cover roles and permanent vacancies need to:

• Have previous experience or a passion working with SEN children
• Be proactive, flexible and a team player
• Available Monday to Friday - 8:30-15:30 (for the permanent roles only, cover roles part time would be acceptable)

The school are very good at investing in their staff, they are a teaching school so many of the TAs actually train to become a teacher in either this school or one of the linked schools. Please apply if you are interested in either the cover roles or September roles.
