Small-group KS3 (PRU) English Teacher

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Coventry that caters for pupils aged 11-14. They are looking for an English teacher to teach KS3 English, on a full-time basis for the summer term. the role is to start from April and will finish at the end of the academic term. The class sizes are around 8, and there are members of support staff within the class to support you. QTS is not essential, however is desirable. Experience teaching English up to minimum KS3 is essential.

The pupils demonstrate challenging behaviour, and have been excluded from mainstream education, or are on the brink of exclusion. The majority of the student have Social, Emotional & Mental health. The aim is too reintegrate them back into mainstream education to allow them the best start properly. The school follows the National Curriculum.

Pay is flexible dependent on experience.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
