SLD Support for Secondary SEND School - September

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an SEND school in Middlesbrough to recruit a support assistant to work with children and young people with severe learning difficulties on a part time, flexible basis. The role will commence in the new academic year and will be ongoing dependent on the schools requirements.

Some students may require medical assistance and personal care, this role is ideal for those from a care work background who are looking to move their career into an educational field. The candidate will benefit from holding a Moving and Handling Qualification although this is not mandatory. You will be working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4 with varying disabilities, this includes SEND including:

• Complex medical needs
• Physical Impairments
• Speech and language difficulties

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with severe learning difficulties. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people with SEN and have a kind and nurturing personality.
