We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join an increasingly growing team of passionate educators in a specialist school in central Leeds. Ideally you will have previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs including Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

The school takes great pride in their educational philosophy and put at the heart of learning, knowing whatever they do the “children are first.”

The position is within a year 6 class and will be highly challenging but will offer you great job satisfaction and sense of achievement. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of teaching and behaviour de-escalation strategies.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate and inspiring individuals who will be committed to motivating pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum. An understanding and flexible nature is essential, and the school is particularly keen to meet with candidates who are proactive, empathetic, engaging and creative; you will use your personality to engage with these students. This is a fantastic opportunity to put your skills into practice and showcase your ability to positively encourage all pupils to overcome barriers to learning which will be extremely rewarding.
