Speech and language EYFS/Key Stage 1 teaching assistant needed for an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Salford (M3) based primary school

  • Teaching assistant with SLCN experience essential
  • EAL experience is also desirable
  • Start date - September 3rd 2018
  • Salary between £14,000 - £18,000 depending on experience

Teaching Personnel has been approached by an 'Outstanding' graded primary school in the Salford (M3) area, who are looking for a teaching assistant with experience in SLCN. The Salford primary school has had a large intake of children with speech and language needs in their EYFS and Key Stage 1 and needs an experienced Teaching Assistant to come in and help support the pupil's development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience using different phonics systems
  • Experience working with SLCN/SEN pupils
  • Experience using PECS
  • A nurturing and patient personality
  • Previously worked across EYFS or KS1

The Bury primary school has a close relationship with the parents of their pupils and the local community with the aim of creating a caring and happy environment where the pupils will reach their potential. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
