Job description

SLCN Support Assistant

  • Job Title: SLCN Support Assistant

  • Location: Royston

  • Job Type: Contract (Full-Time hours)

  • Salary: £90 – £130 per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) in an educational setting.

  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans and strategies for students with SLCN.

  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.

  • Conduct assessments and provide feedback on students' progress.

  • Support students in developing their communication skills through various interventions.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different communication disorders and their implications.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certification in specific interventions for SLCN.

  • Experience working with children and young people with SLCN.

Working Conditions:

  • The role involves working in an educational setting with students with SLCN.

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
