SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Hertford

Pay Rate: £90- £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time /  Long-term /  Temp-to-perm


About the Role

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants with experience supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Complex Learning Disabilities and Difficulties (CLDD), or ASD / ADHD?
We are working with a fantastic special educational needs schools across Luton that provides a nurturing, inclusive, and person-centred environment for children and young people with additional needs. The school is looking for a caring and resilient individuals to join their team and make a real difference to students’ lives on a full time basis. 


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting pupils with PMLD/CLDD in all aspects of their learning and development.
  • Using communication aids and sensory resources to engage and motivate pupils.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver individualised education and care plans.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous professional experience supporting children or young people with PMLD/CLDD (school) ESSENTIAL
  • Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
  • A patient, positive, and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Have a Enhanced Child DBS or willing to obtain.
