SEND Teaching Assistant

Join a secondary school in Stockport, seeking to appoint an SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis from September.

The successful Teaching Assistant will join this schools schools expanding SEND team and will support students with Educational Health Care Plans and additional needs. Support will be provided in class, on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

The successful candidate will be supporting students with a variety of additional needs, including moderate learning difficulties and disabilities. We are looking for a talented, compassionate individual who will help all students recognise and achieve their potential regardless of any barriers to learners.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Have the ability to provide support in mainstream lessons and the ability to deliver one-to-one and small group intervention
  • Be proactive and able to respond to each students’ needs appropriately
  • Be able to work collaboratively with a team of dedicated Teachers and Teaching Assistants

This academically successful school is located in Stockport and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of South Manchester. In their most recent Ofsted report, the school was judged to have good leadership and management, quality of teaching and behaviour of pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
