Specialist Support Assistant- Preston

A ‘Good’ primary school located in Preston are currently seeking a compassionate support assistant to join their key stage 1 team.

About the role:

  • Full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 15.30pm
  • £12.90 - £13.50 per hour
  • Role to commence May 2024
  • Initially for one academic year with the view to extend further.

As a school we are looking for an individual who is able to hit the ground running and fully immerse themselves within the classroom as a SEND support Assistant. The role will involve working 1:1 with pupils with additional needs to ensure that they are comfortable, happy, and safe within their learning environment and able to access their learning effectively. The appointed practitioner will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a passion for education. Requirements:

-          Level 2 or above relevant qualification

-          Enhanced DBS (Assistance provided)

-          Able to work the required hours, term- time only.

-          Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs.

-          Positive attitude.

-          Highly reliable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
