Job description

Teacher – SEN Provision

We are seeking a passionate and resilient Teacher to join a specialist SEN provision on an agency basis, with the potential to move to a permanent role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator who is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.

You will work as part of a supportive and nurturing team, planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of each learner. The role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to helping every student reach their full potential both academically and emotionally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of SEN pupils

  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

  • Differentiate learning materials to suit a range of abilities and communication styles

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and independence

  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of pupil development

  • Manage behaviour positively and in line with school policies

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN, SEMH, or complex learning needs

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A compassionate and adaptable approach to teaching

  • A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

Details:

  • Contract: Agency basis, with potential for temp-to-perm

  • Start: Immediate or as soon as possible

  • Full-time position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
