About the Role:
As a SEND Teacher, you’ll plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to small groups of students with a range of needs including Autism (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and other complex learning needs. Working closely with experienced teaching assistants and support staff, you’ll help create a nurturing environment where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire: Design and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs and spark curiosity.

Adapt with care: Use a creative, flexible approach to adapt learning materials and classroom strategies.

Work as a team: Collaborate with TAs and SENCOs to support learning, behaviour, and well-being.

Encourage independence: Build key communication, social, and life skills to help pupils gain confidence and autonomy.

Foster inclusion: Create a warm, inclusive classroom where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
What You Need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification is essential

Experience working with SEND – ideally including ASD, PMLD, or similar needs

Strong classroom leadership – with the ability to adapt, differentiate, and engage diverse learners

Compassion and commitment – a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
