SEN Tutor Role – Portsmouth

TP Tutors is looking for motivated SEN Tutors in Portsmouth to provide one-to-one tuition that helps students rebuild confidence, develop skills, and re-engage with education.

Role: SEN Tutor
Location: Portsmouth & surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible – work around your availability

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with students who benefit from a personalised approach, creating sessions that feel accessible, positive, and rewarding.

  • Design and deliver individualised learning plans
  • Support young people with SEN including autism, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Build rapport and trust to encourage consistent engagement
  • Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
  • Deliver sessions in homes or local community environments

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Strong core skills in English and maths
  • A patient, calm, and flexible approach
  • Ability to travel within Portsmouth and nearby areas
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
