Not every learner thrives in a traditional classroom—and that’s where you come in. TP Tutors is looking for dedicated SEN Tutors in Portsmouth to provide personalised, one-to-one support for young people who need a different approach.

If you’re driven to help students overcome challenges and re-engage with education, this role offers real purpose and flexibility.

Role: SEN Tutor
Location: Portsmouth and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible (part-time or full-time)

Your Day-to-Day

  • Deliver tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Support students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Build strong, consistent relationships that foster trust
  • Provide tuition in homes or local community settings
  • Encourage progress both academically and personally

What You Bring

  • Experience in education, tutoring, mentoring, or SEN support
  • Confidence teaching core subjects across primary or secondary levels
  • Based locally or able to travel across Portsmouth
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
