SEN Tutor
Salary:
£25 - £35 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide tailored academic support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a one-on-one or small group setting
- Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
- Implement specialised teaching techniques to help students overcome learning barriers
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding students' progress and challenges
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of SEN regulations and best practises
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a SEN tutor or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of various learning disabilities and developmental disorders
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
- Experience using assistive technology to support students with SEN
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours
- Work may be conducted in a school setting or students' homes
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate students' needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
