SEN Tutor

Salary: £25 - £35 Per hour

Job Description:

As an SEN (Special Educational Needs) Tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored academic support to students with special educational needs. Your primary focus will be on assisting students in overcoming learning barriers and reaching their full potential.

Job Duties:

• Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and learning styles
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students in various subjects
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
• Provide feedback and encouragement to students to enhance their confidence and motivation

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with students with special educational needs
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of the UK education system
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Strong organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
• Experience using assistive technology in teaching

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time temporary position, requiring flexibility in working hours. You will be working closely with students in educational settings, schools, or private tutoring environments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
