SEN Tutor
Job description
* Wanted: Extraordinary SEN Tutor to Empower Extraordinary Young Minds *
Location: Leeds and surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Flexible - you're in charge!
Start Date: September 2025
Are you the missing piece in a child's learning puzzle?
We're on the lookout for a patient, creative and compassionate SEN Tutor who sees the individual, not just the label. If you believe every child can learn - just not in the same way or on the same day - this is your calling.
Wondering what you'll be doing?
- Work 1:1 with students with a range of additional needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language challenges, SEMH needs)
- Design and deliver bespoke, engaging learning sessions that play to each student's strengths
- Build trusting, consistent relationships that support emotional regulation and confidence
- Liaise with families, schools and professionals to ensure joined-up support
- Adapt, improvise and sometimes dance in silly ways to keep a child engaged (optional, but encouraged!)
- Keep records of sessions and monitor pupils' progress.
Who are we looking for?
- Someone with proven experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- Someone with a deep well of empathy and a sense of humour
- Relevant qualifications (QTS, PGCE, or specialist SEN training preferred - but attitude and experience can shine just as brightly)
- Confident to plan independently and respond flexible to student needs
- A belief in progress over perfection
What's in it for you?
- Supportive consultant that genuinely gets it
- Access to CPD Academy and Thrive Training
- Opportunities to make a measurable impact - every single day
- A role where no two days are the same and every small victory feels huge
Real Talk:
We don't just tutor - we champion, we scaffold, we celebrate. If you're looking to tick boxes, this isn't for you. But if you're ready to change lives in a quiet, consistent, powerful way ... we can't wait to meet you.
Ready to apply?
Send your CV - but don't wait too long. Great humans are hard to find.
