Job description

Job Title: SEN Tutor

Location: Greys, Essex, East of England

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on students' needs
  • Deliver engaging lessons to help students achieve their learning goals
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and parents, to support students effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Proven experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practises
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with a diverse range of SEN conditions
  • Training in specific intervention programmes for SEN students

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a school or home setting
  • May require travel to different locations to support students
  • Work closely with students, teachers, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
