Job description

SEN Tutor Opportunities in Gillingham

TP Tutors is currently recruiting dedicated tutors in Gillingham to provide personalised educational support for students with Special Educational Needs.

This position offers a flexible working arrangement and the chance to make a genuine difference in students’ academic journeys and personal development.

Location: Gillingham and nearby areas
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time
Role: SEN Tutor

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one or small group sessions in Maths and/or English
  • Support students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH and autism
  • Tailor teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
  • Create a safe, consistent, and engaging learning environment
  • Encourage progress in both academic skills and confidence

Candidate Profile

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
  • Strong planning and communication skills
  • Local to Gillingham or able to commute
  • Patient, reliable, and empathetic in approach
  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures and inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
