Job description

Empower Students Through Tailored Support

TP Tutors is currently looking for skilled and compassionate tutors in Chatham to provide personalised Maths and English tuition to young people with Special Educational Needs.

This role involves working on a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting learners who require additional guidance to succeed academically and personally.

Position: SEN Tutor (SEND experience preferred)
Location: Chatham and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time

Role Overview

  • Deliver individualised lessons designed around each student’s needs
  • Support learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional challenges
  • Create a consistent and supportive learning atmosphere
  • Deliver sessions in home or community-based settings
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and progress

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Ability to teach Maths and/or English at primary or secondary level
  • Based in or near Chatham
  • Patient, reliable, and adaptable in approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
