Job description

TP Tutors is seeking enthusiastic and caring tutors in Canterbury to support young people with Special Educational Needs through personalised 1:1 and small group tuition in Maths, Science, and English.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about inclusive education and making a real difference in students’ lives.

Position: SEN Tutor (SEND Specialists Welcome)
Location: Canterbury and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible (Part-Time or Full-Time available)

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver tailored lessons based on individual learning needs
  • Support students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs
  • Create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment
  • Deliver sessions in homes or community-based settings
  • Help learners build confidence, resilience, and academic skills

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Ability to teach Maths and/or English (primary or secondary level)
  • Based in Canterbury or able to travel locally
  • Patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
