Passionate SEN Teaching Assistants Wanted in East London!

Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in East LondonTeaching Personnel is recruiting for SEN specialist schools, mainstream schools with SEN units, and 1:1 support roles across Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, Hackney, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, and Havering.

The Role:

  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in classroom settings or 1:1.
  • Assist with personal care (experience as a carer or support worker is a plus!).
  • Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Work with pupils who have a range of needs, including:
    • Autism (ASD)
    • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
    • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
    • Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
    • Physical Disabilities (PD)
    • Sensory Impairments (VI/HI)

We’re Looking For:

✅ Experience supporting SEN learners – or a willingness to learn!
✅ Personal care experience (desirable but not essential).
✅ A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
✅ A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
