Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistants Needed in East London!
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Part-Time, or Day-to-Day Supply)
Location: East London (Boroughs: Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham, Havering)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work in fantastic schools across East London!
The Role:
You will be supporting students with a range of SEN, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) Needs
- Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
- Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Physical Disabilities (PD)
- Sensory Impairments (Hearing/Vision)
- Down Syndrome & Global Developmental Delay
We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience working with children or adults with SEN, healthcare, or personal care (e.g., care workers, support workers, nursery practitioners)
✔ Level 3 CACHE or equivalent is desirable but not essential
✔ Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach
✔ Willingness to assist with personal care (manual handling, feeding, toileting) if required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
