1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

-        Monday to Friday.

-        08:30-15:30.

-        Term Time only.

-        KS1 & KS2.

-        Good Behaviour management.

A Primary School within the Bispham area are looking to recruit 2 SEN Teaching assistants via Teaching Personnel to support two separate children with additional needs. Both children have been diagnosed recently with Autism and have now received funding therefore the school is looking to find the right person to support on a temporary basis. This role could become permanent depending upon the right candidate.

Role 1:

Supporting a young boy with severe Autism. This child struggles with communicating and therefore needs someone with strong communication and language skills. Also someone able to learn different communication strategies such as Makaton and PEC’s to support closing the barrier.

Role 2:

Supporting a child with high-functioning Autism, whom struggles to regulate their emotions. The right candidate will be strong but nurturing to offer the best support to this child ensuring that they continue to make progress in a positive environment. Also working outside of the classroom when the child’s sensory needs are

Experience with Autism is essential, also experience supporting children with additional needs will be accepted. It is important that the right candidate is proactive and has previous experience supporting challenging behaviour and an understanding of strategies to support this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
