Teaching Assistant – SEN Hub | Blackpool FY1
Location: Blackpool | Job Type: Full-time | Start Date: 2nd June 2025
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support within their on-site SEN Hub. This provision supports pupils aged 7–11 with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Pay rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in the SEN Hub, you will:

Work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to deliver tailored support to pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

Support the implementation of individual learning plans, EHCP targets and behaviour strategies.

Create a nurturing, inclusive and structured learning environment for children with a variety of needs.

Foster positive relationships to promote independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), ideally within a primary or specialist setting.

A calm, patient and flexible approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young learners.

Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting children with additional needs.

A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
