Full-Time Behaviour Support Assistant – Mainstream Primary School – Preston

Are you experienced in supporting children with behavioural needs?


We’re working with a supportive mainstream primary school in Preston that is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant on a full-time basis.

Monday to Friday
8:45am – 3:15pm
Competitive pay: £13.75 per hour

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural challenges
  • Implement de-escalation strategies and promote positive behaviour
  • Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other staff to support individual pupil plans
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement in learning

About You:

  • Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour is essential
  • Calm, resilient, and confident in managing behaviour in a school environment
  • Able to remain patient and supportive under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player

Location: Preston
Start Date: ASAP or negotiable for the right candidate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
