SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 4 Support

Location: South Ribble
Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Ongoing, full‑time

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference every single day?
A welcoming and supportive primary school in South Ribble is seeking a dedicated SEN TA to provide 1:1 and small‑group support within a Year 4 classroom.

About the Role

You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support children with a range of additional needs. Your role will include:

  • Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities
  • Implementing personalised strategies to help children access learning
  • Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and social communication
  • Liaising with staff to contribute to effective support plans
  • Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive engagement in learning

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (essential)
  • A patient, calm and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
