SEN teaching assistant required in Eccles, Salford, M30

Year 4 Autism support teaching assistant - immediate start

Working with a child with diagnosed Autism and EHCP.

Contract for the rest of the academic year with a view to go onto contract

Teaching Personnel are supporting a "good" primary school located in Salford (M30) to find a reliable and pro-active Teaching assistant to work with a pupil in year 4 pupil with Autism. The pupil has been diagnosed with ASC (Autism). The pupil is verbal but has a short attention spam. He finds it difficult to follow instructions and can be disruptive, the school have expressed that the pupil prefers to be in control of situations and struggles to take direction straight away.

As a 1:1 teaching assistant, you will be supporting the teacher by ensuring the pupil fully understands the instructions of the work and is able to access the curriculum at a suitable level. You will spend time both in the classroom with the pupil and outside on 1:1 basis.

The role is full time starting ASAP and running for the rest of the academic year but with a view to go on to a school contract for the right candidate.

This primary school located close to the Eccles area of Salford (M30). It has excellent facilities and welcoming staff. The Head teacher believes in continual professional development, sending staff on various training courses to enable all staff to develop their careers further.
