SEN Teaching Assistant - Prestwich
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next role? Do you have experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with one of our partner schools in the Prestwich area who are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to start from Easter 2019 or sooner if appropriate. This exciting role is due to last until the end of the academic year in the first instance, with a high possibility it could continue into the 2019/2020 academic year.
- Full time SEN Teaching Assistant (Part time hours available for perfect candidate)
- From Easter 2019 until at least July
- Competitive daily rates between £54-£70 dependent on experience
Our partner school is situated in the Prestwich area of Bury, North Manchester. It is easily accessible through a number of public transport options and is just a short drive from the M60 motorway. This smaller than average secondary school has fewer than 900 students, and the school building had a major refurbishment in 2010. In recent years, the school has continued to improve and is focussed on improving even further, with students' academic progress at the forefront of all priorities and an excellent climate for learning being embedded.
"We are a vibrant, award winning and ambitious school with a very clear focus on providing the best education and life opportunities for our pupils. The school is increasingly a first choice for parents not only locally, but for our bordering authorities. Ofsted recognised in our most recent inspection that students talk enthusiastically about their school and the harmonious and welcoming ethos that is evident." Headteacher.
Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in our 11-16 client secondary school, the role will involve working 1:1 with a range of students throughout their different lessons. The students you support may have a range of SEN issues ranging from students with ASC and ADD to physical issues and also behavioural complexities. Experience of dealing with Special Educational Needs is desirable but not essential.
If you would like to apply for this post as an SEN Teaching Assistant, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
