We are seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in Wolverhampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who have a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties, providing the support they need to succeed both academically and personally.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual student needs.
- Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional learning needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent and supportive strategies.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Promote independence, confidence, and social development.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs.
- Is patient, compassionate, resilient, and proactive.
- Has strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Is passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
