Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants for full-time positions in a range of supportive and forward-thinking secondary schools in North Liverpool, starting in September 2025.
These roles are perfect for individuals who are passionate about education, keen to make a real difference, and able to build strong relationships with young people.
Role Responsibilities:

Provide tailored classroom support to students, including those with additional learning needs (SEND)
-
Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities
-
Support students in small groups or 1:1 sessions, helping to build confidence and engagement
-
Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment
-
Monitor student progress and contribute to reports or reviews where appropriate
-
Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure pupils' academic and emotional development
Who We’re Looking For:
We welcome applicants from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds, including (but not limited to):

Graduates (especially in Education, Psychology, or related fields)

Youth workers

Care/support workers
-
Sports coaches
-
SEN practitioners
-
Teaching Assistants with prior school experience

Residential care workers
-
Mentors or behavioural support specialists
-
Individuals with voluntary experience in schools or with young people
Requirements:
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
-
Right to work in the UK
-
References covering the last 2 years
-
A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them thrive academically and personally
-
Willingness to commit to full-time work (term time only)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
