SEN Teaching Assistant needed for Tameside Secondary School

Our client school in Tameside are looking for two SEN teaching assistants to support students that require tailored additional support. The school has an alternative provision unit on site that supports students with moderate learning difficulties, social emotional mental health, behavioural, autism and ADHD.

These teaching assistant positions are both part time and full time so applications are welcome from current teaching assistants looking for a new role or someone with transferable skills from a health and social care or youth work background. The role of a teaching assistant is highly rewarding working with small groups or on occasions 1:1. You will be provided with regular training and support from the SEN department and school SENCO.

Located in Tameside this school has a large percentage of students eligible for free school meals and above average numbers who have SEN. Located in the SK15 Post code there is a train station a 10 minute walk away for those on public transport.

**Pay ranging form £275-£350 per day

**Full time and flexible part time vacancies

**Regular training courses and career development

**Opportunity to earn a school based contract after an initial introduction through TP

Essential criteria for this post;

**Experience in working with young people or a relatable degree/work experience

**2 references from your education or work history

**Empathetic and patient personality

**Flexible and adaptable attitude towards the job role
